HOUSTON STRONG: BECOMING A MORE EQUITABLE AND INCLUSIVE CITY
Join PRSA Houston for our very first in-person luncheon of the year! PRSA Houston celebrates diversity month annually in August. This August, our first in-person luncheon will feature guest speaker LaTanya Flix, Senior Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Greater Houston Partnership. During LaTanya’s presentation – Houston Strong: Becoming a More Equitable and Inclusive City – she will discuss the Greater Houston’s Partnership’s DEI initiatives, specifically the One Houston Together launch that will help organizations enhance their DEI strategies and increase community impact.
Key items you will take away from attending this event:
• A clear understanding of the difference, meaning, and value of diversity, equity, and inclusion
• How identity influences action
• Highlights from the Greater Houston Partnership’s regional Equity & Inclusion Assessment

MEET LATANYA
LaTanya Flix is Senior Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) for the Greater Houston Partnership, the Houston region’s principal business organization. LaTanya has a record of success leading enterprise level change, improving outcomes for underrepresented individuals, and launching cross-sector partnerships that advance equity. She most recently led CauseAdvance, a social change advisory practice that offers customized strategy, equity, organizational development, and philanthropy services to clients in Houston and across the U.S.
Prior to CauseAdvance, LaTanya served in executive roles at the Greater Houston Community Foundation and The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston and consulted for prominent organizations.
LaTanya earned a BA in sociology from Trinity University and a MPA from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
