Craig Eichhorn, APR, public relations specialist for Alief ISD, has 27 years of experience in school public relations and has worked in both large and small districts throughout Texas. In addition to his role as primary spokesperson and coordinator of both internal and external communications for the districts he worked in, Craig also was heavily involved in professional associations. He launched social media platforms for several school districts, and under his direction, the number of social media followers has increased by more than 500% since he came to Alief ISD.

Craig served two terms as vice president of the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) and served as the association's president in 2012. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, and earned his Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) through a joint venture of the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in July 2000. He continues to present workshops at TSPRA annual conferences, encouraging other school public relations professionals to pursue accreditation.

He also has presented informational workshops at numerous TSPRA annual conferences and at TSPRA paraprofessional seminars held in Houston. He also is active in the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) and has presented informational workshops for that association.

Craig is a huge sports fan, covering all high school sports for the district, dealing with media and obtaining sports coverage, while serving as public address announcer for football games at Crump Stadium.
